The short version
This website sets zero tracking cookies and collects no personal information about you. We use privacy-first, cookieless analytics that cannot identify you as an individual.
Who we are
Lake Lambda ApS is a software engineering consultancy registered in Denmark (CVR 45192148). You can reach us at contact@lakelambda.com.
Data controller
Lake Lambda ApS is the data controller for all personal data processed in connection with this website and any email correspondence.
Cookies
We set no cookies — tracking, functional, or otherwise. Your browser storage is untouched by this website.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-first analytics tool, to understand aggregate traffic patterns such as which pages are visited and where visitors come from geographically.
Umami is configured in cookieless mode. It does not store your IP address. To generate an anonymous, non-persistent session count, it briefly processes a hash of your IP address and user agent — the raw values are immediately discarded and never stored. The resulting hash cannot be used to identify you and is not shared with any third party.
No personal data is stored. No consent banner is required because no personal data is processed and no cookies are set.
Booking
Introductory calls can be booked via SimplyMeet.me. If you choose to book a call, any information you provide (name, email, notes) is processed by SimplyMeet.me (operated by SimplyBook.me Ltd) under their privacy policy and their Data Processing Agreement. Lake Lambda ApS receives only the details necessary to hold the meeting. SimplyMeet.me uses sub-processors including Google Analytics (USA), with transfers covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.
International transfers
We keep data processing within the EEA wherever possible. Where sub-processors operate outside the EEA — specifically SimplyMeet.me's use of Google Analytics in the USA — transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
Email contact
If you contact us by email, we will use your email address and any information you include solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your details with third parties. We process email correspondence on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in responding to business enquiries. Email correspondence is retained for five years from the date of last contact, as it may form part of the record of a business relationship or professional engagement, unless an ongoing engagement requires longer retention. You may request deletion of correspondence that is not subject to any legal or contractual retention obligation. Email is handled via Fastmail, whose EU service processes data within the EEA.
Your rights under GDPR
Because we do not collect or store personal data through this website, there is in practice nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have any concern about data we may hold as a result of a business relationship or email correspondence, you have the right to:
- request access to any personal data we hold about you
- request correction or deletion of that data
- object to or restrict our processing
- lodge a complaint with the Danish data protection authority, Datatilsynet
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@lakelambda.com.
Changes to this policy
If we ever introduce new data processing, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised. We will not introduce cookies or personal data collection without updating this policy first.
